These days it seems that every bit of technology is connected in a wireless version, capable of using your home network via WiFi: computers, printers, cell phones, even home theater. This article describes the security of wireless networks, ie those who can set you share in your home or office to your existing Internet connection. This work within a radius of say 25 meters from the wireless router. (You can also use a dongle “3G” wireless, you connect to the Internet over the wireless network – this will be discussed in another article).
It’s easier than ever to set up a WiFi network: Many ISPs, you get a wireless modem or router compatible if you register. However, they can not deliver them in an ideal state of security. Straight out of the box, there are some security issues in most routers.
Why is it even matter?
As a wireless network there is a possibility that you and the people of the free distribution of the house are not the only ones who can see your wireless network. Which is in the range, may be using your wireless connection. You may notice if you have your own Wi-Fi equipment – it may be several networks to be worn at all times. Each of those who do not appear with a lock icon is potentially open to anyone over for connections.
